This book is the personal testimony of a man who for 15 years was actively involved in the “gay” lifestyle, and it tells how God delivered him and set him free. He is now married with two children, and is a writer, pastor, concert musician, radio evangelist, and international speaker.
If you (or anyone you know) are struggling with homosexuality or lesbianism, this book will show you how to change. As I read Adamson’s words, I felt I was reading the story of my own life. And, like the author, I also spent many years not glorifying God, hurting people, and blaming God and others for my sin.
Adamson says that the number one key to changing is knowing that God loves you no matter what. That is the basis for aggressive honesty with yourself, and with Him, another key. It is also the basis for acknowledging your sin and confessing it to God (1 John 1:9). Furthermore, you must forgive yourself and others. Finally, you must choose whom you will serve, and then walk with God, act upon his Word, and be thankful.
This is a very practical book on how to receive deliverance in any area of your life. Through the pages of this book I saw the author’s testimony of the goodness of God upon his life, and I was reminded that Jesus Christ died for me, and like the author I can choose to continue walking in wholeness.
God's Word clearly says in 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 (KJV): "Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the spirit of our God.
Verse 11 says "Such were some of you," so we know the people of Corinth definitely received personal deliverance and changed. I highly recommend this book so that, like the believers at Corinth, others who read it can be made whole. If you need this kind of deliverance, know that God loves you and is waiting for you to "come to yourself" as the prodigal son did in Luke 15:17. Your loving heavenly Father is waiting for you to come to Him, for you, too, can be made whole.
