Why don't you say it's wrong to celebrate Christmas, Easter...

Your question is a very good one and something that many Christians have wondered about. You are right; many of the holidays that the Christian church embraces have origins and many practices that were connected to pagan worship festivals. We know that Christ had nothing to do with the Christmas tree, Santa Claus, the holly bush, and Christmas decorations. And since we are a ministry that is dedicated to teaching the truth, there must be a good reason why we do not teach against the practice of Christians setting aside special days of worship.

The birth of Jesus Christ according to what the Bible reveals

I am really excited about this teaching, as I am presenting some new material. In Scripture, if any record has been masked or misunderstood by tradition, it seems to be the birth of Jesus Christ. It is amazing to me how many traditions mask the birth of Jesus Christ and what the Bible says about it. Meanwhile, God, through Scripture, has been trying to break through to us to teach us what really happened in the birth of Christ.

Bible Study: Matthew 2:1 Magi / Wise Men that brought gifts to Jesus, gold...

Magi, especially their leaders and priests, were considered to be wise, and even to have occult powers, so the translation “Wise Men” might at first seem to be a fitting translation, but it is far too broad a term to communicate the meaning of the word “magoi.” After all, there were many wise men in the ancient world, just as there are today, whereas the Magi were a specific group. A good comparison might be if Catholic Cardinals from Rome came to visit Jesus but we only knew them as, “Good Men from the West.”

The modern Christian understanding of the birth of Jesus comes largely from extra-biblical works and traditions imported into the Gospels, rather than the biblical record itself. Much misinformation came from a document that was widely circulated in the early centuries of the Christian era. It is referred to by scholars as the Protevangelium of James, and was likely written in the third century A.D. The Protevangelium is the first document scholars are aware of that refers to Jesus being born close to Mary’s arrival in Bethlehem...

I have heard a number of people say that Jesus Christ was not born on December 25, the date that Christians celebrate as his birthday. Is that true? If not, why do people celebrate on that date, and when was he born?

It is important to note that holidays and celebrations were God's idea, as evidenced by His directives to the people of Israel in the Old Testament. Special days or weeks that He designated were to be times of celebrating His goodness to them, as well as times designed to help His people remember His deliverance and provision. Therefore, holidays per se are neither good nor bad. It depends on what they are for...
